There remains uncertainty around the futures of a number of Liverpool’s big names.
Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold are all at risk of leaving the club on a free transfer next summer as they enter the final year on their contracts.
The trio can begin talks with foreign clubs from as soon as January in regards to potential moves, building the pressure up on Michael Edwards and Richard Hughes.

One Liverpool star however, has confirmed he remains committed to the Anfield side after snubbing off transfer interest this summer.
Goalkeeper Alisson Becker has once again reiterated he’s desire to stay on Merseyside in a recent interview with Joe Hart for the BBC.
“I am committed to this club 100% and that involves being part of the leadership group.
“We have a lot of young players, new players coming in, a completely new staff. When we changed, not everything was going wrong. The challenge for us was to keep the good things, pass these things to the staff and the players coming in, and embrace the good stuff that the new staff are bringing.
“It was a big challenge for this leadership group and I really believe we are doing quite well. We are sharing the responsibility and telling the young players they need to step up as well. This club is special and the people who work here are special,” Alisson said.
The Brazilian had attracted strong interest from Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr who preferred a move for the 31-year-old over Manchester City’s Ederson.
According to Football Insider, The Saudi outfit made an approach in an attempt to to lure Alisson away from Anfield. However, much to the delight of Liverpool supporters and new head coach Arne Slot, he rejected the opportunity to move to Riyadh in favour of remaining on Merseyside for the 2024/25 campaign.
Alisson set to play out his contract
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo about his decision to stay put at Liverpool, Alisson said: “Why stay? I have a contract and I want to honour my contract and finish my contract here or make a new one. I am really happy here. My family is happy.
“I never got to the point where I was talking about wages and things like this, it was just interest, but when you hear about the numbers the other players are getting you are a little bit attracted. That is normal.
“(But) I never thought about leaving. I had always decided to stay. I have two years plus one – the club’s choice – to stay here at Liverpool. So I will not leave now and I never thought about that. When the interest from Saudi came, I cannot close the door on a big deal.
“But my decision was always to stay and focus on the things we can achieve, this new beginning and this new start, and I am really excited about that. We are starting fresh with new energy and looking forward to what this season will bring for us,” Alisson confirmed.

Weekends are sacred—reserved for family bike rides and movie marathons, where I pass down my love for classics to my two bright kids.
