PRODIGY likened to Eduardo Camavinga CONFIRMS Liverpool transfer interest
Rising Scandinavian star Daniel Svensson has acknowledged Liverpool’s interest in him and expressed his intention to move on from his current club in the near future.
According to Football Transfers in August, Liverpool have been closely monitoring the 22-year-old, who has drawn comparisons to Real Madrid’s Eduardo Camavinga due to his versatility.
In a recent interview with Fotbollskanalen, Svensson revealed that Liverpool has “watched some matches” in which he played for Nordsjaelland, and he feels “absolutely ready” for a new challenge in one of Europe’s top leagues.

Svensson ready to move on
After five seasons in Denmark, the Swedish left-back (who can also operate in midfield) said: “The idea is that I will move on relatively soon…it might happen that I play the whole season and then move on.”
He added that playing time is the most important factor in choosing his next club, as it will allow him to continue his development.
“The most important thing is that I get playing time. It is still a step where I want to take to continue developing. I do that by playing. The most important thing is that I come to a club that has a good plan for me. Which league it is, it doesn’t really matter,” Svensson added.
Svensson might need patience if he joins Liverpool, where he would likely start behind Andy Robertson, much like Kostas Tsimikas. However, his ability to play in multiple positions could make him a valuable asset for the squad, even if it takes a while to break into the first team.
If Liverpool’s scouting reports are positive, their interest may soon move from observation to a formal approach.
It is clear from his comments that Svensson would welcome an opportunity to join the Merseyside club.

I’m Thomas Clark, from the ever-sunny Scottsdale, Arizona. At 47, my life’s not your usual nine-to-five grind; I’m the voice behind the screen at FC Soccer News. My days are a mix of passion and professionalism as I weave words for the love of the game. University of Arizona’s where I honed my skills, but the real education came from the hours spent in local cafes, my eyes glued to my laptop, and my mind playing the field.
Soccer’s not just my beat—it’s the rhythm to my life. I analyze plays with a tactical mind and share insights that cut through the noise. Outside work, my appetite for adventure is as strong as a striker’s kick. The chef in me loves experimenting in the kitchen, and when the hiking trails call my name, I answer with boots laced tight. I’ve got music in my bones, and you’ll often find me lost in the melodies of a well-strummed guitar.
Away from the adrenaline of sports and the hum of daily life, my world orbits around my family. Dinner tables are our huddles, where laughter and stories bounce around like a well-played ball. Weekends are sacred—reserved for family bike rides and movie marathons, where I pass down my love for classics to my two bright kids. Parenthood’s more rewarding than any byline, and it’s taught me the true value of teamwork. My wife is my rock, my steady defender, offering unwavering support through every deadline and draft. Together, we’ve built a life that’s as dynamic as the games I cover—a blend of commitment, joy, and the unending chase of a story worth telling.
