Liverpool legend URGES Arne Slot to sign ‘OUTSTANDING’ midfielder
Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson believes that the Reds should bring a superstar Inter Milan midfielder to Anfield who has already made a name for himself in Italy.
Lawrenson, speaking on behalf of Sports Casting, told The Italian Football Podcast, that he thinks Inter will win the Serie A this season and tipped Liverpool to sign one of their outstanding performers who could be the missing piece for Arne Slot’s side
Slot will be looking for players in January and in summer that will bolster his squad and can quickly adapt to his high-pressing style, this midfielder could be perfect for that.

Liverpool should sign ‘outstanding’ Barella
Lawrenson was asked to pick any other Italian player other than Federico Chiesa for his Liverpool and he chose Inter’s Nicolo Barell on the podcast.
The former Liverpool defender is echoing the same ideas as fellow legend Jamie Carragher.
“When you think about how teams set up now, you see Inter play with a back three with five in midfield, or a 4-3-3, and I think he’s probably one of the best in Europe playing in that tucked in, right sided central midfield position.” said Carragher on CBS Sports Golazo
“He’s box-to-box, he gets goals from there. We saw how outstanding he was for his national team in winning the European Championships” He’s that player who can open things up, he gets in there, but that inside right position now is so important in football and can you make runs from that position? He makes runs ahead of the striker. And he’s a huge goal threat.”
If Liverpool want to bring Barella to Merseyside, they will have to put their hands in the pockets.
The 27-year-old has five years left on his current Inter contract with Football Insider reporting that the club set an asking price of £70m.
Manchester City are also said to be interested in the player as they seek to find a replacement for Rodri who is sidelined for the rest of the season.
